**Local Teacher Andrea Kelleher to Compete in New York City Marathon**

Andrea Kelleher, a 3rd-grade teacher at Lake Hazel Elementary in Meridian, Idaho, is set to participate in the New York City Marathon this weekend. Kelleher has been teaching at Lake Hazel Elementary for 10 years and has inspired her students throughout her career.

She was selected as one of only 50 teachers to represent Team TCS Teachers, chosen from over 1,000 applicants across the United States and Canada. Kelleher was recognized for her thoughtful answers to three questions regarding the impact of running on her life, her methods of inspiring students, and a personal story illustrating how running has enhanced her teaching abilities.

Kelleher has been training for this marathon for several months and has had the completion of the NYC Marathon on her bucket list for a long time. The school community is rallying behind her, expressing pride and support as she takes on this challenge.
