**River Valley Elementary Receives $3,000 Grant for Multilingual Library Section**

On November 14, 2024, River Valley Elementary School was awarded a $3,000 grant from the Idaho Commission for Libraries, funded by the Idaho State Lottery. Representatives from the Idaho Lottery visited the school to present the check along with additional books for the library.

The grant will be utilized to establish a multilingual section in the school library, aimed at supporting the diverse student community. The initiative seeks to ensure that all students have access to resources in their native languages.

Librarian Mary Lowe played a significant role in recognizing the need for this project, particularly to support Spanish-speaking students who are reading at advanced levels in their native language.
