At around 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Boise, Meridian, and Kuna fire crews responded to a report of a brush fire on the 11200 block of W. Reutzel Drive in Boise, Idaho. Firefighters found a 1.5-acre grass fire in a field that was burning toward nearby homes. Crews immediately provided structure protection for the residences and worked to suppress the fire.

One civilian sustained injuries while attempting to control the fire before emergency responders arrived. Ada County Paramedics treated the patient on scene before transporting the individual to a local hospital. No other injuries were reported.

The fire was eventually mapped at approximately 3 acres. Fire crews remained on scene for several hours to monitor and extinguish hot spots, preventing any potential flare-ups. The cause of the fire was determined to be accidental, resulting from weed burning activity.
